Ongoing Programs

The Children's Room offers thousands of great books, excellent reference sources, arts, crafts, and technology programs, computer and electronic resources, videos and DVDs, and "Quick Pick" bags of books and materials for different age groups.

childrens' programming (Sept-June)

Story and Activity Time (K-2nd grade)

On Mondays from 4:00-4:45 pm, come Relax at the end of the day with afternoon stories and fun story-centered activities ~ check the website for our list of upcoming themes!  No registration required.

Kids Knit, (ages 8 to 12)

Boys and girls, beginners and those who have tried knitting are welcome to learn a new skill and meet new friends at the library! Bring a set of needles, any size, if you have them. We'll learn together and work on different projects.

Open Art Workshops

(3rd grade and up and Families)

Drop by the Library on Tuesday afternoons between 4:00-5:00 pm and explore different media, art methods, and make some great projects to take home.  This is an free, open, unstructured drop-in program ~ no registration required.  All materials are provided. Check the website for further information about upcoming workshops.

Open Gaming & Media (all ages.)

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:00-5:00 pm, drop by and test your skill on today's top Wii games or enjoy playing some classic boards with friends.

Stories and Movement (Ages 2 to 5 yrs.)

Join us for songs, fingerplays, stories, and fun & easy crafts every Wednesday morning in the Library Community Room from 10:30-11:00 am.  We have some great programs planned ranging from Apples and Pumpkins to Dinosaurs and more.  Drop in Program ~ no registration required.

Friday Storytimes! (Ages 2 to 5 yrs.)

Come and share some super stories and make a related craft to take home. We gather on Fridays at 10:30 am-11:00 am in the Library Community Room!  Upcoming great storytime themes include: Farms, Skeletons, Cowboys, and much more!  Drop in Program ~ no registration required.

If you are a Massachusetts resident you can get a library card. If you are five years old (or older!) bring proof of residency and come in and sign up.
