Plant a Seed: Summer Reading
Summer is finally here, and that means it’s time to dive into the Dover Town Library’s 2026 Summer Reading Program! Whether you are a toddler tracking your first stories or an avid adult reader looking for your next great escape, we have a challenge designed just for you. This year, we’re celebrating the joy of literacy across all generations, making it easier than ever to build healthy reading habits, explore new worlds, and win fantastic prizes along the way.
Every age group can get in on the action with unique, interactive challenges. Children (ages 3–10) can become ultimate “Reading Dragons” masters, tracking their reading days to hatch dragon eggs and collect trading cards, ultimately earning raffle tickets for a grand Squishmallow prize. Teens (ages 10–18) can pick up a library-themed Bingo board to read, attend library events, and tackle activities for a chance to grab treasure chest goodies or raffle tickets. Adults (ages 18+) aren’t left out either—simply fill out a raffle ticket for every physical book, e-book, or audiobook you complete this summer to enter to win a gift card to a local business!
