Can’t get out of the house? We’ll bring the library to you!
The DTL now offers home delivery of library materials for Dover residents who are homebound either temporarily or permanently, due to illness, accident, frailty, disability, or other mobility problems. Enjoy the library collection without having to visit the library building–from books and magazines, to DVDs and audiobooks.
What qualifies as homebound?
- Disability that permanently prevents patron from coming to the library
- Disability that temporarily prevents patron from coming to the library (Minimum 3 weeks)
- Age-related limitations in older adults
How does it work?
Sign up by completing the Door-to-Door registration form below. You may submit it online or mail the completed form to:

Once the form is received, patrons will be contacted by the Program Coordinator. Every 3 weeks, items will be delivered to and picked up from homebound patrons’ homes by library staff members or COA volunteers. You can request specific titles or let us surprise you with a curated list of titles based on your interests. Read more about the DTL Door-to-Door program here.
